Industrial Revolution History Badge

In This Project I got a clear understanding of what happened during the industrial revolution and the outcomes of certain dissions. An example of this would be in my essay which I spoke of the impacts that the industrial ways brougth and how we need to learn from our mistakes in the past and fix this."The industrial revolution began using water as their source of fuel; ,it was understandable they yearned for easier and quicker ways of creating products as well as innovation. The water machines lead to steam fueled machinery and trains , and that's when they began to get ambitious. They continued creating more factories, more machinery, more houses, less trees, and urbanization. Then they began to use coal; coal is the greatest contributor to global warming. Coal-fired power plants are responsible for over 83% of carbon Dioxide pollution since 1990. Since the amount of workers increased dramatically, they got rid of trees to make room for more housing. So, they removed plants and trees, killing the natural habitat that provides oxygen and food. The problem with industrial factories is that everything that is taken to a level of excessiveness is bad for you, there needs to be a balance." This proves that I have a general idea of what happened during the industrial revolution.

Nature’s Dilemma’s

The Great Smog, “was a severe air-pollution event that affected London during December 1952.”  Due to a peculiar weather atmosphere and pollution that was created by post-war domestic coal, it was one of the monstrous events that people endorsed through the 1800’s-1900’s. As this event illustrated the potential hazard air pollution could have, they began creating legislations such as: City of London (Various Powers) Act 1954, and the Clean Air Acts of 1956. This is an example that  we can truly engage in reducing a clear threat that has potential of destruction by just organizing ourselves and taking action. Then, we can definitely improve and fix the damage that was created in the Industrial Revolution. During the Industrial revolution, there was this massive increase in machinery that produced smog, thus the outcome was pollution, which in fact is very deadly. Currently there are more restrictions on the manufacture process due to the errors we committed before. Yet, pollution and the environment are still a major concern; they define the future. The human species, which are omnivores, are reliant on animals and the vegetation. If that and our oxygen are extinguished, it will eventually lead to our own self destruction… Extinction.

The industrial revolution began using water as their source of fuel; ,it was understandable they yearned for easier and quicker ways of creating products as well as innovation. The problem with industrial factories is that everything that is taken to a level of  excessiveness is bad for you, there needs to be a balance.

Till this day, Global warming is rapidly increasing over the past century, especially because of the greenhouse gases released by burned fossil fuels. There are a lot of organizations that are dedicated to address this problems. Such as the (SGP), the  (GEF), the (IPCC), the (IUCN), the(UNEP),the (WNO), and the (CSE). And these are rarely the international ones, the largest of the Global Warming organizations. There won’t be a dramatic change if not everyone has  input in this. There are a lot of factories that are changing their ways of creating the products to being unharmful for the environment. If we focus on this huge dilemma we have at hand instead of consigning of whether Kim Kardashian got a new surgery or if Donald Trump's comb over went flying again at the end of the day, it leaves us with unproductivity and no intellectual outcome it’s just irrelevant information stored in our brains . If we used social media to encourage people to be concerned and active we would reach our goal much, much quicker.

, hydroelectric, wave, tidal, nuclear, and coal with carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology.battery-electric vehicles (BEVs), hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (HFCVs), and flex-fuel vehicles run on E85.

There are so many possibilities of resolutions; actions an individual could take to help the environment. Society has intentions to enhance the environment, however, the action that has been taken is not enough. Let's demonstrate that the theory that in order to save the earth, men has to be instinct is incorrect, that humans can choose to do the correct things.  An example of steps mankind could, are choosing renewable energy such as solar, wind powered, geothermal, hydroelectric, wave, tidal, technology.battery-electric vehicles (BEVs).

. There's a variety of clean ways to have energy without causing a major damage to our fragile environment. Another step we could began to take is to reduce our consumption of non eco healthy products, reuse and recycle things; don’t give in to the industrial ways. There are some companies that are conscious and care about  how mass production affects the environment and take action like the eco laundry company and the Enviropure systems, and some more. There is continuous ways that the industrial world is affecting our earth. Yet, if we as the key element of change, stop consuming from unsustainable sources; mankind will have more possibilities of a future.

As was said in the book, Eat Pray Love,“ruin is the road to transformation”. Let's take this ruin and transform it, heal it, make it better. The industrial revolution was when our world began being destroyed quicker, and now it has improved, yet it still ruins. Let’s use history for something else then a class; let’s take its advice and not commit the same mistakes.

Acting Badge

During the Steampunk Project we were able to explore the medium of acting and expressing your feelings using a different techniques.  Using diffrent acting excercises we were able to establash a more secure and open enviornment around our class room. An example of this, would be in one of the acting activites a stepped up to act with maria and I usually don't act because it is difficult for me to show different facial expressions. But by going up and acting and everyone claping around me it really expressed to me that if in a piont in time I will need to act for some reason in the Co-Op I won't be afraid.

Cooperation & Refinement badge.

From last semester to this one I have grown a lot in the habit of cooperation, last semester I needed to improve thus this semster I push myself to work better with people and work for efficentcy. An example of my growth in cooperation was the week that we were pitching our own projects I steped up and became a leader and united everyone and took form everyones opinions exept of doing evrything individually. In Casa De Miedo I never did that I quess I was just tired of always being expected to step up and become a leader and save the day. But I faugth the urge of doing everything by myself and began to work with everyone collaborate.

I grew in refinement to reach for finished work not done but finshed complete and execellent, and example of my growth is the varius drafts I made for the design of my matchine.

Work & Energy Badge
Stitching Badge
Steampunk Badge
Circuit Badge

I earned my stitching badge by creating a little adorble creater out of stitches and the given material. I currently do not have a picture of it due to the fact that I created it as a christmas ornament so my parents put it away with the christmas things. But I did get credit for it.
